GBC, in recognition of the need to enhance peaceful co-existence with the surrounding villages, namely Awaso, Asempanaye, Atronsu, Subri and Chirano, has established a Committee to foster among other things a mutually benefiting relationship between the villages and the Company for obvious reasons. In this endeavour, the Company has voted substantial amounts of money to help provide muchneeded amenities like electricity, bore-holes for water and school-building for the villages. It is hoped that this magnanimous gesture on the part of the Company will go a long way in enhancing good relations and improve the Company’s public image in the area.
